Sharon's entire working career since she began in 1987 has been spent with various firms of attorneys where she has gained invaluable experience in all areas of an attorney's practice. Sharon was originally appointed by Attorneys Rossouw in 2000 where she soon became the heartbeat of the firm with special emphasis on conveyancing. While working as a paralegal at the firm, Sharon commenced with her studies to acquire a formal legal qualification. In this, too, Sharon has excelled and progressed to where she was admitted as an attorney, notary and conveyancer at the beginning of 2010. With Sharon's vast experience in all aspects of a legal practice it was a natural and easy decision for her to start the firm of Attorneys West & Rossouw. Sharon also spearheads the firm's main area of practice, property law, where it provides its services to a wide client base ranging from foreign property investors, banks, property developers, estate agents and private individuals.
Danie originally founded the firm known as Rossouw Attorneys in Pretoria in 1994 and relocated to Cape Town in 1996. Being the father of three boys, Danie also has a strong interest in family law. More recently, he was commissioned to assist various clients in the South African music industry and, as a result, Danie now plies his trade as a consultant to the firm, while primarily advising a wide variety of clients in the media and entertainment industry. Danie is also active in the organised legal profession where he served on the Cape Law Society's communication committee and, until recently, he was the vice president of the Cape Town Southern Suburbs Attorneys Association. Danie has a passion for flying fixed-wing aircraft as a private pilot with certification on various types of light aircraft.
Lize Rossouw was admitted as an attorney in 1997 and joined Danie as a conveyancing attorney following her admission as such and her marriage to Danie in 2000. Lize holds a B.Proc from the Free State University with an advanced certificate in the administration of deceased estates. Not surprisingly, with the firm's offices situated right on the famous Cape Argus Cycle Tour route in the picturesque Noordhoek Valley, Danie and Lize both enjoy cycling as a hobby. They are the proud parents of two boys.
Following Danie's relocation to Cape Town in September 1996, well-known Cape Town attorney, Terence Marquard joined the firm of Attorneys Rossouw in 1998 and remains an associate with West & Rossouw. With some 50 years in practice and formerly from the firm Pincus Matz & Marquard, Terence brings a wealth of experience to the firm's property law department. Terence still enjoys the day-to-day dynamics of life in a busy law firm and with his thorough, level-headed approach to projects, Terence's presence is an invaluable asset to the firm. |
